The state of Uttar Pradesh has been witnessing on and off showers since the last many days. Now, the axis of Monsoon trough ahs shifted over UP. Moreover, a cyclonic circulation has also formed over East Uttar Pradesh.
Therefore, moderate rains with one or two heavy spells are expected to continue over the state until September 3. West Uttar Pradesh will see good rainfall activity. September 4 onward, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Agra, Aligarh, Etah, Firozabad, Bulandshahr will see almost dry weather conditions as the winds over these districts will start blowing from west and northwest. This will lead to clear sky and dry weather conditions.
Thereafter, intensity of these showers will reduce but scattered rains will continue over Central and East Uttar Pradesh including the city of Lucknow.
The axis of Monsoon trough will also shift slightly eastwards. Thus, by the end of first week of September, Monsoon will begin to show signs of withdrawal from Uttar Pradesh. Temperatures are expected to rise while humidity will reduce to some extent.
