Monsoon depression over Madhya Pradesh, which earlier weakened to well marked low, has further dropped grade to a low pressure area. The weather system with associated circulation up to medium levels is now marked over central and northwestern parts of Madhya Pradesh. A broad scale anticyclone in the higher levels, over eastern parts, Nepal and Tibet will restrict its further movement across Indo Gangetic plains. Therefore, the weakened system is likely to meander over North Madhya Pradesh, Southwest Uttar Pradesh and neighborhood for the next 3 days. It is expected to flatten and merge with the monsoon trough over that area, subsequently.
Persistence of system will keep the monsoon activity intense and outspread over Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Active monsoon conditions are likely over West Uttar Pradesh, Southeast Rajasthan, Uttrakhand and Delhi during this period. Since the weather system will drag the monsoon trough along with, moderate showers can be expected over East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, as well.
Southeast Rajasthan and Uttarakhand will also be within extended reach of the system. Baran, Jhalawar, Banswara, Pratapgarh, Kota, Bundi and the bordering area with West Madhya Pradesh will have moderate to heavy rain and thundershowers. Low and mid reaches of Uttrakhand are at risk of intense thunderstorm activity. Such conditions are also conducive for triggering the cloud bursts in the undulating high altitude mountainous terrain. Presence of cyclonic circulation and proximity of monsoon trough will sustain the chances of moderate rain and thundershowers for the capital city and suburbs, for the next 3-4days.
