Low pressure in Odisha to lash Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Ujjain with good rains again

Madhya Pradesh has been frequently receiving good showers during this Monsoon period. In fact, during the last 24 hours as well, both the West and East region of Madhya Pradesh have recorded light to moderate rain and thundershower activities. The rain god continues to bless the state.

In the span of last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Sunday, Sagar recorded 28.4 mm of rain, Seoni 16.2 mm, Khajuraho 12.4 mm, Gwalior 9.2 mm, Indore 5.7 mm, Rewa 2.4 mm, Umaria 2.1 mm, Jabalpur 1 mm,  Satna, Ujjain and Bhopal 0.6 mm.

According to Skymet Weather, a low pressure area is seen over Northeast Bay of Bengal off the Coastal Odisha. The system is likely to move inland in west direction towards Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.

The rains are likely to increase significantly over Madhya Pradesh and light to moderate rains are possible to occur over many places of West Madhya Pradesh from July 18 onwards. Heavy to very heavy rains cannot be ruled out over several districts of East Madhya Pradesh.

Meanwhile, these rainfall activities may continue to occur over this state for the next two to three days. Places such as Jabalpur, Narsinghpur and Hoshangabad will once again gear up for good Monsoon showers during the next three days. But places like Bhopal, Indore, Ratlam and Ujjain will have to settle with light rains. 

The temperatures are already below normal levels over most parts and pleasant conditions are likely to prevail.
