As reiterated by Skymet Weather, the low pressure area has moved inland in west direction. With this, the weather system has also weakened and is now seen as a cyclonic circulation.
At present, the system is marked over Chhattisgarh and adjoining parts of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. With this, light to moderate rains and thundershowers were recorded over parts of Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha and Marathwada.
Further during the next 24 hours, the circulation is likely to move in west-northwest direction towards more parts of Madhya Pradesh. With this, rain belt will shift to Madhya Pradesh.
As predicted by Skymet Weather, the system will be responsible for the further advancement of Southwest Monsoon over northern plains including Delhi.

A cyclonic circulation was formed in the Bay of Bengal a while ago. Thereafter, the Monsoon system underwent some intensification and became a low pressure area. Currently, the system is marked off the Odisha coast and North Andhra Coast. In association to this an upper air cyclonic circulation also extends up to 18000 km.
The Monsoon system has resulted in good rains over many parts of East Coast including Andhra Pradesh and some parts of Odisha. Now, the system is likely to move inland and during the next 24 hours result in good rainfall activity over more areas of Andhra Pradesh, Vidarbha and Telangana.
Furthermore, the system will travel towards the central parts covering Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Maharashtra. Also, when the Monsoon system moves over Madhya Pradesh, a change in wind pattern will be observed and the regime of Monsoon easterlies will be pushed over to the Northern Plains.
So much so that this very low pressure area will be responsible for the onset of Southwest Monsoon over Delhi and adjoining areas of North India in the coming days.
This low pressure area is also expected to increase rains over Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. This system will also activate the Monsoon trough which will result in more heavy rains over Konkan and Goa including Mumbai and Coastal Karnataka.
