The consistent Cyclonic Circulation over Northeast and adjoining North Bay of Bengal has finally intensified into a Low-Pressure Area and is marked over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining parts of West Bengal and Odisha.
The experts have to say that in the next 24 hours, it is likely to move West/Northwestwards across Odisha, West Bengal and would be then partly over land and partly over the sea. The peripheral of the system will even cover Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and the neighbourhood areas.
The system will keep moving west/ northwestward and is likely to last effectively for three days across the central parts of the country and will travel right up to East Rajasthan.
Also, this system will give rains on either side of it, i.e., Uttar Pradesh in the North and Maharashtra in the South.
It is expected that the spread and the intensity of rains will be at its peak on August 13, covering mainly the eastern and the central parts of the country.
Places like Kolkata, Midnapore, Howrah in West Bengal, Puri, Paradip, Cuttack, and Bhubaneswar in Odisha while Raipur, Durg, and Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh will be impacted by good Monsoon rains during next 24 hours. Along with this, Sagar, Satna, Jabalpur in East Madhya Pradesh will also see good rains. While Akola, Amravati, Nagpur in the Vidarbha region with Adilabad, and Ramagundam in Telangana will also see moderate to heavy rains during the same time.
We can say that the system will pass through and through Madhya Pradesh and will give more rain to the south of the track. The influence area will keep varying as the system will keep moving further west/northwestward. Eventually, rains will also be seen over Delhi and NCR, western parts of Madhya Pradesh, and finally will travel up to East Rajasthan.
Hence, we can say that the Low-Pressure Area will give good Monsoon rains over many parts of the country.
