After the arrival of Southwest Monsoon, Hyderabad has been receiving on and off rains since last many days. However, during the month of July, these Monsoon rains have been lesser as far as the inetnsity is concerned.
In fact, only light rains have made a show with one or two spells of moderate showers in between. During the last 24 hours, only light rains were recorded over this city. But the region is still waiting for heavy rains over the region. In a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Saturday, Hyderabad recorded 0.5 mm of rainfall.
According to Skymet Weather, a low pressure area is persisting over Northwest Bay of Bengal across North Odisha Coast. An associated upper air cyclonic circulation is also seen over this region. These weather systems are likely to intensify further and then move towards West-Northwestwards. Due to the shifting of the systems, cloudy weather along with few light showers will continue to occur over the city during the next 24 to 48 hours. However, the possibility of heavy rainfall is slightly bleak over the City of Nizams.
