Southwest Monsoon has hit parts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh. In fact, Monsoon is all set to cover the entire state very soon.

These showers could be credited to a low pressure area that is over west-central Bay of Bengal off Andhra Coast. This system is moving along the coast giving fairly widespread rain and thundershower at most places over Andhra Pradesh and Telangana including Hyderabad.

According to Skymet Weather, moderate rain and thundershowers will continue across the state. However, after the next 24 to 48 hours, the intensity of these rain and thundershowers will decrease as the weather system is likely to move northwards towards the Odisha Coast.

With the influence of these rains, temperatures have dropped and they are likely to drop further. Weathermen are foreseeing Southwest Monsoon to make an onset over more parts of Andhra Pradesh by June 12.

Besides this, when these systems move in west direction, states like Telangana, Odisha and Chhattisgarh tend to record moderate to heavy showers.
