The Cyclonic Circulation over Bay of Bengal was persisting over Southwest Bay of Bengal. As anticipated, the system has induced a Low Pressure Area, which is marked in Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean.
The system is expected to persist for some time and then possibly the system is expected to affect Sri Lanka largely, that too its eastern and southern coast. As far as the Tamil Nadu coast is concerned, it is expected to remain mostly dry and not much is expected due to this weather system.
The system may intensify further and has the potential to become another freak tropical storm of the month of March.
