The Low Pressure Area in the Bay of Bengal has become more organized and is a well marked low now. The system is still mostly in the sea region. The system's circulation however extends over the land.
The system is expected to move over land completely within the next 48 hours or so and will be travelling across Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and further westwards over the next three days, also giving rains over the region.
With this, today, we can expect heavy rains over parts of Odisha, Chhattisgarh and eastern Madhya Pradesh. Tomorrow, heavy rain belt will also cover the central and western parts of Madhya Pradesh. On 16th, heavy rain will gradually start to shift and will cover southwest parts of Madhya Pradesh. While heavy rains may be confined to the aforementioned pockets, the span of the system will be quite large, right from East to West Coast.
There is a possibility that the system may as well become a weak depression. After giving rains over the aforementioned areas until the 16th, the system will move westward and give more rains over other parts of the country.
