A fresh Monsoon system is developing over the Bay of Bengal. It will bring heavy rainfall over East and Central India.
The low pressure area is still brewing over northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of coastal Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal. It will intensify into a well-marked low any time soon. It is moving slowly in a west-northwest direction and is expected to move inland towards North Coastal Odisha.
Coastal as well interiors of Odisha will receive moderate rains at many places with heavy at few areas over the next couple of days.

Initially, the intensity of rainfall will be much more over the coastal areas. Gangetic West Bengal and coastal areas of Odisha will receive good rains. Gradually, as the weather system will move inland. Rain intensity will then increase over interiors of Odisha, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. However, the southern districts of Odisha will receive less intense rains as compared to the northern parts.
We expect good rains to continue over Odisha, Jharkhand for next 38 hours. After 24 hours, the system will start affecting eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh as well as some parts of Southeast Uttar Pradesh. Thereafter, this weather system will increase rains over southern parts of Madhya Pradesh.
