Loo has extended its reach and has now gripped more parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra and even West Madhya Pradesh. Moreover, some parts of this region are also reeling under heat wave conditions.

According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, dry and hot northwesterly winds are blowing over the region in the absence of any weather activity, which is leading to a gradual rise in the day temperatures.

A fresh Western Disturbance is affecting North India and an induced cyclonic circulation is prevailing over North Rajasthan. Both the systems are expected to trigger dust storms and thunderstorms, however, the impact will be restricted to North Rajasthan only. Rest of the areas will remain unaffected.

As per the latest forecast by Skymet, there will be no relief from the soaring mercury during the next few days as well.

Let us now have a look at the maximum temperatures recorded in Sunday across these states.
