Loo has once again gripped parts of Gujarat and Rajasthan, with maximum temperatures across the two states settling well above normal. After recording below normal day temperatures during last week, mercury has now started soaring.
Heat wave conditions are also prevailing in some parts of Gujarat.
According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, all the prevailing weather systems have now moved away and there isn't any weather system affecting the region at present. Thus in absence of any activity, dry and hot northwersterlies are blowing over the region that may lead to further rise in the maximums.
As per the latest forecast by Skymet, there will be no respite from the scorching heat for another two to three days. We do not expect any significant weather over entire Northwest India including Rajasthan and Gujarat. Even Delhi, Haryana, West Madhya Pradesh and West Uttar Pradesh Will witness dry weather.
