Light sprinkles have started making an appearance over Chennai as well as Puducherry with Karaikal witnessing traces of rain in the last 24 hours from 8:30 am.
Both Chennai as well as Puducherry are expected to see some rainfall activities on account of the anti Cyclone which have shifted a little south of its normal position from North India covering parts of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and even Telangana. Thus, northeasterlies stream from the Bay of Bengal is trampling the coast of Tamil Nadu, and accentuating also. Thus, rains are expected.
Rains may not be very heavy, but light rains are possible with a few moderate spells here and there. These rainfall activities are expected to be seen from January 27 to January 29.
