The city of Mumbai may have some light rains tonight as well as tomorrow. These activities might be very light. There may be partly cloudy skies with very light rains or sprinkles expected. Moreover, if and when rains occur, they may not be measurable enough.
Reason for these rains is the change in the wind pattern due to the presence of systems up North. It has resulted in some sort of convergence along the Konkan coast, thus, some light rain is likely.
Mumbai does not see rains in March and between March 2011 and now, it has only been in 2015 that the commercial capital has seen some rainfall. This year, Mumbai has seen 17.4 mm of rains, making it the highest rains in a decade for the month of March.
This month has been very unusual in terms of rains where rains have been there. Moreover, generally, temperatures reach 40 degrees in March, which has not been the case this year and it does not seem like temperatures will breach 40 degree mark.
