Light showers likely over Hoshangabad, Betul, Mandla, Jabalpur

Rain in Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh has been witnessing dry weather conditions since last few days. The day temperatures are also on a hike and most parts of the state are recording temperatures in higher 30s. These sky-high mercury levels can be attributed to the continuous clear sky and the dry winds which are coming from the northwest.

However, prolonged dry spell is likely to end as scattered rains are likely to commence over the southeastern parts the state from October 6 and 7 but gradually the rains will reduce. Places such as Hoshagabad, Betul, Mandla, Jabalpur, and Seoni will record some rainfall activities.

As per Skymet Weather, the rains will be attributed to the merging of dry northwesterly winds and humid southeasterly winds. The weather will remain sultry in spite of the rain. After these rains, the weather will once again go dry but isolated light showers cannot be ruled out. Another spell of showers is expected around between October 10 and 13.

This time the intensity of rain will more and light to moderate with isolated heavy showers may be recorded during that time. East and southwest parts of the state will receive good rains. Places such as Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Seoni, Damoh, Rewa and Satna will record hefty showers.

The rainfall activity will be due to a trough which is extending from the central parts of Uttar Pradesh to Maharashtra across Madhya Pradesh. Meanwhile, the weather of Ujjain, Gwalior, and Shivpuri will be dry. Trough from c parts of up to Maharashtra across Madhya Pradesh.
