In the past 24 hours, parts of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh have received light rainfall. Temperatures in the region are currently settling below normal. Pleasant day conditions prevail in the hills of North India and these conditions are expected to continue for another 2 to 3 days.
In the last few days, the hills of North India were recording fairly high day temperatures. Even night temperatures in the region were settling above normal. The plains of North India were also reeling under heatwave conditions.
But now, a weak western disturbance hovering above North Pakistan is seen moving eastwards. Also, a cyclonic circulation can be spotted over Central Pakistan and adjoining Rajasthan. The combination of these two weather systems has been causing weather activity over the hills and plains of North India.
In coming days, no heavy rainfall is expected in the region. But mostly cloudy conditions with light scattered rains will keep day and night temperatures under check. Temperature in some places across the region in last 24 hours is as follows:
The presence of two weather systems has led to a more persistent and long-lasting activity in the region. Day conditions in the hills of North India have become suitable for outdoor activities. Tourists visiting the region will experience pleasant day conditions while nights will remain chilly.
