On and off pre-Monsoon showers are happening over the City of Pearls since past one week. Amid June 5-7, moderate to heavy rains have occurred over Hyderabad. In fact, the Telangana city has recorded light rain and thundershowers during the last 24 hours as well.
These rain and thundershowers can be attributed to the low pressure area which was over Northwest Bay of Bengal off Odisha Coast. Now this system has intensified and at present, lies over south of Bangladesh. However, scattered light rain and thundershowers may probably going to continue over the Biryani city for the next 24 hours.

Skymet Weather anticipates the intensity of these rains to remain on the lower end but patchy rain activities will continue to delight the Hyderabadis.
So far, the city has recorded 110.5 mm of rain as compared to its monthly average rainfall of 111.2 mm. Therefore, with 21 days more to go, the state capital will easily surpass this mark.

Monsoon normally hits Hyderabad by June 10. However, this year, Monsoon will cover many parts of Telangana including its capital by June 12, which is a delay of two-three days. With these rains and pleasant weather hovering over the city, night temperatures will plunge more and settle around 20°, while days will also be comfy and maximum temperatures will settle near 30°C to 32°C.
