While almost the entire country is battling with the heat conditions and sweltering temperature levels, Northeast India is enjoying good spell of showers. Most states of the region have been witnessing light to moderate rainy spells.

In the last 24 hours many parts of the regions like Guwahati, Tripura, Mizoram have witnessed rainfall in varied intensity. This continuous spell of rainfall over the seven sister states has made the weather pleasant.

The Northeastern states have been witnessing heavy rains over the past few days. Due to presence of cyclonic circulation over eastern parts of Bihar and Sub Himalayan West Bengal region, warm and moist winds will continue to affect the regions of Northeast India.

Simultaneously, a Western Disturbance was moving across South Tibet which has caused very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Assam. Light to moderate rain affected regions of Sikkim, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and rest North Eastern states at many places. The Western Disturbance has now moved away from Tibet region. Rain intensity will reduce over the region but will continue to affect some parts. Meanwhile, the weather will continue to remain pleasant over these states.
