The tale of good rains continued to lash the state of Andhra Pradesh that has been witnessing light to moderate rains from the last 3-4 days. In fact, the last day brought some good showers for the state wherein three-digit rains were also observed by Kalingapatnam while, light showers were observed by most of the other stations.
In the same manner, the last 24 hours were also not much different though this time, the rains remained mainly light. However, the showers were still confined mainly to the coastal stations. The somewhat similar weather pattern is anticipated dot continue over the state of Andhra Pradesh no as well.

Within the span of 24 hours from 08:30 am as on Thursday, Kalingapatnam that recorded a whopping three-digit fall received 6 mm of rains, Machilipatnam 2 mm, Visakhapatnam 0.7 mm, Narsapur 0.4 mm and Kakinada recorded merely 0.1 mm of rains.
As per Skymet Weather, the reason for these rains can be attributed to the Depression which was over West Central Bay of Bengal. As of now, this system is moving towards Gangetic West Bengal and is likely to weaken into a well-marked low-pressure area. Due to this, the rainfall activity in Andhra Pradesh is likely to reduce.

However, a trough is running from Madhya Pradesh to Telangana and the easterly winds from the Bay of Bengal are increasing moisture over the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh. Due to this, scattered rains will continue over the coastal districts of the state but Rayalaseema may see isolated light rains for one to two days.
Districts such as Visakhapatnam, Kalingapatnam, Kakinada, Narsapur, Tuni and Vijayawada are most likely to witness scattered rains.
The days across coastal Andhra Pradesh is likely to remain warm and humid but the night is likely to remain comfortable. In fact, at present, coastal Andhra Pradesh is the warmest region of the country.
