Delhiites woke up to another pleasant morning on Wednesday as light rains were recorded across the national capital.
Delhi-NCR has been witnessing pleasant weather conditions since Monday wherein city had recorded good rain and thundershowers. This activity and change in wind pattern had also kept the soaring mercury under check.
Wednesday morning saw temperature dropping 23.1°C, three degrees below the normal average. While, maximum temperature on Tuesday settled at 35.6°C, four notches below the season’s average.
According to Skymet Weather, the pleasant weather conditions could be attributed the passage of Western Disturbance over hills and its induced cyclonic circulation over northwestern plains.
Hotter days ahead
Sadly, the pleasant spell has come to an end and Delhiites will once again have to gear up for battling scorching heat.
The cyclonic circulation which is over Haryana and adjoining Uttar Pradesh is likely to move away from the region. This will lead to clear weather conditions once again and hot and dry northwesterlies from sizzling Rajasthan will start reaching up to Delhi.
As a result, temperatures will also start rising gradually over Delhi. We can expect sky to clear up as the day approaches, paving way for bright sunshine.
On Wednesday itself, we can expect day temperatures to reach around 40-degree mark that will mark the return of famous Delhi summers.
Moreover, no respite is on cards for next 3-4 days.
