Subdued Monsoon conditions have been prevailing in most parts of Maharashtra especially over Madhya Maharashtra region. However, since last few days, many areas of Vidarbha and Marathwada have been continuously witnessing light to moderate rains. Also, Konkan & Goa continued to receive light to moderate Monsoon rains in last 24 hours.
In a span of last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Sunday, Udgir recorded 46.2 mm of rainfall, Bhira 24 mm, Parbhani 11.5 mm, Mumbai 11.4 mm, Nanded 9.4 mm, Dahanu 6.4 mm, Thane 5.2 mm, Nashik 4 mm, Harnai 3.9 mm, Yeotmal 2 mm and Amaravati, Aurangabad 1 mm.
During the last 24 hours, cities including Nashik, Pune, Mahabaleshwar, and Ahmednagar witnessed scattered light rains. Whereas, remaining parts of Maharashtra such as Jalna, Sangli, Satara, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, and Jalgaon are expected to experience dry weather conditions.

These weather conditions can be attributed to a cyclonic circulation seen over South Coast of Maharashtra. Due to which, scattered light Monsoon showers are expected to continue over Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, and Chandrapur during the next 24 to 48 hours.

During the next 24 to 48 hours, Madhya Maharashtra is likely to reel under mainly dry weather conditions while Konkan & Goa region including Mumbai may continue to settle with light rains and few moderate showers at a few places also cannot be ruled out.
However, the rainfall intensity over these regions is expected to reduce significantly but no major difference to the weather conditions are likely.
