Light rains may appear over Delhi NCR on Wednesday

After remaining practically dry during February, Delhi-NCR may see one or two short spells of rain and thundershowers on Wednesday. However, intensity of rains will be light only.

According to Skymet Weather, approaching weather system does not seem to be much strong in nature and thus, may not give any significant activity.

At present, a fresh Western Disturbance is affecting Jammu and Kashmir, which has also induced a cyclonic circulation over North Rajasthan and adjoining Punjab and Haryana.

Both the systems are likely to move eastwards gradually, giving rains over the northern plains of Punjab, Haryana and Delhi-NCR.
In wake of this, sky conditions may become cloudy to partly cloudy tomorrow. Weathermen predict that chances of weather activity will be more either during the early morning or late evening hours of Wednesday.

Weather will again dry and clear Thursday onwards, leading to further rise in day maximums.

In wake of prolonged dry spell, both day and night temperatures have been settling above normal by 2-3 degrees. In fact, the week started with the rise in mercury. On Tuesday, we expect maximum temperature to even surpass 30-degree mark, ushering in summer-like conditions.

Further as we progress in March, day maximum will now continue to increase and settle above average.
