Good rains have taken a back seat over the entire state of Telangana as well as over Hyderabad. On September 28, Hyderabad recorded moderate rainfall activity. Despite this, several districts of Telangana such as Medak, Hanamkonda and Ramagundam have been experiencing warm and humid weather conditions.
In a span of last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Saturday, the capital city of Telangana, Hyderabad recorded no significant amount of rainfall.
These weather conditions can be attributed to a cyclonic circulation which is seen prevailing over west central Bay of Bengal off Odisha Coast and North Andhra Pradesh Coast. Also, an upper air trough is seen extending from this system up to Coastal Karnataka. Further, this system is likely to shift westwards.
Due to these weather systems affecting the area, the city will witness light rain and thundershower activities for the next 24 to 36 hours. Although these rains will be occurring for a short duration of time over Hyderabad.

After 48 hours, the intensity of these on and off light rains is likely to further reduce significantly over Hyderabad. Though the sky is likely to remain cloudy and the weather conditions will continue to remain warm and humid.
However, fresh spells of good rain and thundershowers are anticipated to lash Hyderabad from October 7 and 10 onwards. Henceforth, once again comfortable weather conditions are likely to prevail over the city.
