Since last few days, Odisha has been receiving moderate to heavy Monsoon showers. In fact, cities such as Bhabanipatna, Sambalpur, Balasore and Titlagarh have recorded a good amount of rainfall activities. The last 24 hours were also no different and the state recorded some good spells of Monsoon showers. Thus, the residents of Odisha have been experiencing comfortable weather conditions.
In a span of last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Tuesday, Bhabanipatna recorded heavy rainfall of 67 mm, Sambalpur 57 mm, Balasore 55 mm, Titlagarh 34 mm, Jharsuguda 30 mm, Gopalpur 20 mm, Koraput 6 mm, Cuttack and 5 mm, Bhubneshwar, Puri and Pulbani 4 mm, Chandbali 3 mm and Paradip 2 mm.
These weather conditions can be attributed to a low-pressure area which is persisting over Odisha and adjoining areas of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. Further, this weather system is likely to move gradually towards the west and away from Odisha.
