The city of Pune has been receiving light to very light rains since the beginning of the month, August. There were just two to three days when the city witnessed dry weather.

The last 24 hours were also no different as the city recorded just traces of rainfall. As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, light to moderate rains may occur during the next 24 to 48 hours. Heavy rains are ruled out for now. Thereafter, isolated light rains will continue.
This increase in the rain activity will be due to the presence of a cyclonic circulation over South Maharashtra Coast.

In spite of light to very light rains, the weather of Pune will remain comfortable. Morning as well as nights will be pleasant with minimum temperature settling around 21 degree Celsius. On the other hand, day temperatures will hover around 28-29 degree Celsius.
Comparatively, till August 13, Pune has recorded a mere of 6.7 mm of rains as against its monthly average of 122.3 mm. With 17 days left, its seems hard for the city to reach even close to its monthly mean, but still we can hope rain gods to bestow some kindness and the city to witness some moderate to heavy showers.
