Sparing a few isolated parts, September has mainly brought dry and warm weather for the westernmost state of the country, Gujarat. These light rains have mainly occurred in the Saurashtra and Gujarat region, it did not profit the region much. While due to the absence of rains, the Kutch region reeled under the dry weather.
In the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Wednesday, Bhavnagar recorded 3 mm of rains while Idar witnessed 0.6 mm of light traces.
As per Skymet Weather, a trough is extending from Lakshadweep Island to South Gujarat coast. Moreover, the moist southwesterly winds from the Arabian Sea are also reaching towards the coastal areas of southeast Gujarat.

In the wake of this, light thundershowers are expected to show up towards afternoon and evening hours over the extreme southeastern districts of the state. Thus, regions such as Valsad, Surat, Bhavnagar, Mahua, Amreli and the adjoining regions can expect some light thundershowers. Ahmedabad and Vadodara can also expect some light rain and thundershowers.

On the other hand, Kutch is receiving dry and warm winds and thus will have to continue reeling under the dry and warm weather. Temperatures that had already touched the 35-degree mark and had settled beyond in some parts of the Kutch region does not stand very strong chances of curtailing down.
