After witnessing a brief relief from rain and snow, famous Hindu shrine Vaishno Devi is likely to witness another episode of rain and thundershowers. But this time the intensity of rains will be very light.

At present, the region is observing cloudy sky conditions. All thanks to the Western Disturbance affecting Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Skymet Weather, these rains are expected to continue for the next 48 hours. Thereafter, the weather is expected to become dry and clear.

So we can say that no significant weather activity is foreseen for the weekend. Pilgrims who are planning to visit the holy shrine, this weekend is the best time to visit the shrine.

However, another Western Disturbance is likely to approach Western Himalayas by March 8. With this system approaching, we can expect rain and snow over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and parts of Uttarakhand. Vaishno Devi may too record some good showers. As per meteorologist, these rains are expected to be of light to moderate intensity.

During the month of January and February, the holy shrine remained under the grip of rain and snowfall that have also lashed the hills of North India. These weather activities were due to successive Western Disturbances affecting Western Himalayas.
