The week started on a rainy note for Bengaluru and since September 24, Monsoon rains of moderate intensity have been occurring over the capital of Karnataka on every alternate day. Though from the last 48 hours, the intensity of these rains reduced drastically from moderate to light.
In the last 24 hours, Bengaluru recorded very light rains measuring 0.6 mm. Counting on these rains, Bengaluru has till date recorded a whopping 541 mm of rains as against its monthly mean of 212.8 mm of rains thus surpassing the monthly target with a huge difference.

As per Skymet Weather, a trough is passing through South Interior Karnataka. In the wake of this, scattered rains of light to moderate intensity are likely to continue in the city for the next 24 hours. Thereafter, the intensity of these rains is expected to reduce.

However, cloudy sky and occasional showers will keep on showing up in Bengaluru resulting in pleasant weather conditions. The day temperatures are also likely to remain higher 20’s. While the minimum may curtail down to settle between 19 and 20 degrees.
Morning and Night will be cool and comfortable with the minimum for at least next 4-5 days. As per the rainfall statistics, Bengaluru is 48% rainfall surplus which is all due to these occasional good showers.
