An induced cyclonic circulation over Northwest Rajasthan and adjoining areas and a trough extending up to Bihar may give scattered light rains over Northern districts of Rajasthan as well as over parts of north and northeast Madhya Pradesh.
Many parts of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh have already witnessed unseasonal rain and during January. A fresh Western disturbance has approached Western Himalayas which has induced a cyclonic circulation over Northwest Rajasthan. Moisture feed is available from Arabian sea in the form of South westerly winds.
There are chances of light scattered rain over Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Alwar, Bharatpur and Dholpur districts of Rajasthan on February 3rd. Isolated pockets of Bhind, Datia, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Satna, Rewa and Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh may also receive light rain.
Weather of Central and Southern parts of Rajasthan as well as Madhya Pradesh is expected to remain dry. Minimum temperatures may increase further until February 3rd over these States. After the passage of Western disturbance and cessation of rain activities, cold and dry winds from northwest and north will once again commence over most parts of Rajasthan and western districts of Madhya Pradesh. Temperatures of West Rajasthan will start dropping from evening of February 4th. Remaining parts of Rajasthan and many parts of Madhya Pradesh will witness fall in minimum on February 5th and 6th. Winter chill will be felt once again during morning and night hours over this state however day will remain Sunny and comfortable.
We do not expect heavy to very heavy rain over a Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh this time. Therefore, chances of damage to crop is ruled out.
