Weather in Delhi has remained dry for quite some time now. However, around March 15 and 16, due to active Western Disturbance and induced cyclonic circulation, the national capital witnessed cloudy weather with very light rain over isolated pockets. But these rains were not enough to bring relief from the prevailing weather conditions.
Currently, another Western Disturbance is approaching the Western Himalayas. The induced cyclonic circulation has already formed over Central Pakistan region.

Now, the induced cyclonic circulation is likely to shift eastwards gradually over North Rajasthan and adjoining Punjab and Haryana. The trough is expected to extend up to Delhi around March 21 leading to cloudy weather over Delhi and the NCR region.

There are chances of thunderstorm with light rain over one or two places on March 21 and 22. Day temperatures are expected to fall by two to three degrees Celsius while minimums may marginally rise during this period.
Due to these weather activities, temperatures of Delhi will remain under check for the next few days. A steep rise in the maximum temperature is not expected over the city. Thus, residents of Delhi and the NCR region are expected to not feel the intense summer heat for a while now.
