Light rain is possible over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Rajasthan

November 8, 2022 12:56 PM |

Western Disturbances usually start travelling in lower latitudes from October and November and continues until February. Intensity and frequency peak in December and January.

Whenever there is a Western Disturbance of moderate intensity, it induces cyclonic circulation over northern plains. A Western Disturbance is travelling across the Western Himalayas and has induced a Cyclonic Circulation over Haryana and adjoining areas.

Light rain occurred over northern parts of Rajasthan. Places like Ganganagar and Churu recorded traces of rain. Now conditions are favorable for scattered rain to occur over parts of Punjab, Haryana, north Rajasthan Delhi and at one or two places over western part of Uttar Pradesh. Intensity of rains will remain light.

Therefore, there will not be any major impact on pollution of Delhi and NCR. For pollutants to wash away moderate and continuous rain is required which we do not foresee in near future.
