The Vidarbha region of Maharashtra has remained dry and warm from quite a long time. Rains remained away from the region, which is why the residents of Buldhana, Nagpur, Washim, Gondia and Akola have been dealing with very warm weather conditions.

Moreover, both the day and night temperatures of the area were settling above the normal levels by two to three degrees.
The last 24 hours were also of not much difference over the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, as the weather conditions remained dry, with clear sky and bright sunshine.
As per Skymet Weather, there are possibilities of light rain or thundershowers over isolated areas of the region around March 9-10.
This weather activity can be attributed to the formation of a trough that will extend from Northwest Rajasthan up to Southeast Madhya Pradesh. With this spell of rain, we can expect a minimal drop in the mercury levels.
However, this respite will not stay for long, as the weather activity will be relatively localized. By March 11 and 12, both the maximum and minimum temperatures are anticipated to mount again.
At this juncture, let’s have a look at the impact of weather on agriculture:
Farmers are advised to irrigate Mango, Pomegranate, Sweet lime and Orange orchard. Also, they should irrigate Summer Maize and Groundnut crops as per requirement. Further, they are recommended to undertake the harvesting of Orange and Sweet lime.
