During the last 24 hours, Vidarbha and adjoining Telangana have observed good rains with isolated heavy showers. Light rain also occurred over few places. In fact, Gondia in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra recorded heavy rain to the tune of 61 mm.
In the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Friday, Nizamabad recorded 10.8 mm of rain, followed by Yavatmal 6.4 mm, Chandrapur 1.2 mm, Amravati 1.0 mm.
However, further we expect rains to decrease over the area, as no significant weather system is seen prevailing over this region, only the wind shear will remain north of Telangana and Vidarbha.
Thus, we expect light rains over some places to continue over Vidarbha and Telangana.
At present the both day and night temperatures are near normal and providing comfortable weather conditions. However, further as rains will be less, day temperatures may see a rise marginally, meanwhile during the mornings pleasant weather conditions will still prevail.
Moderate winds will prevail largely and comfortable day with cloudy sky conditions is expected.
Similar weather situations are expected to continue for the next two to three days and no major rainfall activity is likely over the region.
