During the past week, the state of Tamil Nadu has received some showers of varied intensity. All thanks to a low pressure area that persisted over Southwest Bay of Bengal, which later strengthened into a depression.
In the last 24 hours, light rain was observed over the interior districts of the state. Now, an upper air trough is seen over Southwest Bay of Bengal off Sri Lanka Coast. This system is disturbing the normal wind pattern over the southern parts of Tamil Nadu, leading to cloudy sky conditions.
