The state of Gujarat has been witnessing dry and warm weather since past many days. But during the last 24 hours, few parts of Gujarat have received light rainfall activity.
In the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Friday, Bhavnagar recorded 1.2 mm of rain, followed by Baroda 1 mm.
At present a cyclonic circulation lis seen over South Rajasthan and adjoining North Gujarat. Moreover, a feeble trough is seen also seen extending from South Gujarat Coast towards the southern parts.
As a result, light rainfall activities are expected to continue along the southern coast and northeastern parts of Gujarat. However, Kutch region will continue to witness almost dry and warm weather conditions.
In fact, moderate winds will prevail over most parts of the state and the coastal parts of Gujarat will witness strong breezy conditions.
Places such as Surat, Valsad, Amreli, Veraval, Junagarh and Baroda are expected to witness light rains. Meanwhile, Bhuj and Naliya will witness dry and warm weather conditions.
Talking about the temperatures, at present the maximum temperatures over the northern parts state are settling in high 30’s, but the southern parts are witnessing maximums in low 30’s. Further also, due to light rainfall activity we expect temperatures to drop marginally over few parts.
