The eastern parts of the country have been witnessing light rains for the past few days. There have been some areas which have also witnessed a few moderate spells along with one or two places witnessing heavy spells of rain as well.
During the last 24 hours as well, some parts of East India did witness light to moderate spells of rainfall. Isolated pockets have also witnessed heavy spells of rain.
In a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Saturday, Forbesganj recorded a good 21 mm of rainfall, Muzaffarpur 7 mm, Purnea 29.4 mm, Supaul 35.1 m, Angul 1 mm, Jamshedpur 1 mm, and Titlagarh 16 mm.

Presently, a cyclonic circulation can be seen over Northeast Bihar region. Along with this, a trough is also seen extending from North Bengal across the Gangetic West Bengal region.

In view of these weather systems, light to moderate rainfall activity is expected over parts of Jharkhand. These rains are likely to continue for at least two to three days.
Meanwhile, scattered light rains will be seen over parts of West Bengal, North and East Bihar, along with North and Northwest Odisha. These showers will continue for at least the enxt 24 to 48 hours.
In view of these rains, temperatures are expected to witness a drop over these areas. Thus, pleasant weather conditions will prevail over the areas.
