As per Skymet Weather, a cyclonic circulation was persisting over North Madhya Maharashtra and adjoining North Konkan and Goa region.
In addition to this, an offshore trough was running from South Gujarat to Karnataka. These weather systems were responsible for the hefty rains which occurred during the past two days.
