During the last 24 hours, mostly dry weather conditions prevailed over the entire state of Maharashtra. However, isolated rainfall activity was observed over extreme south Madhya Maharashtra and adjoining coastal areas.
In fact, hot weather conditions prevailed over Coastal Maharashtra especially over the North Konkan region where temperatures touched almost 37˚C.
Moreover, due to the land winds that prevailed over the region, most parts of Mumbai also recorded hot day conditions with temperatures above 37˚C. However, morning remained pleasant and hazy with mild breeze.
At present, a trough is extending from East central Arabian Sea to North Madhya Maharashtra. Therefore, we expect partly cloudy to cloudy sky to prevail over Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan and parts of Marathwada. Day temperatures will drop, and morning temperatures will rise over all these places.
Scattered rain and thundershower activities are likely over Pune, Nashik, Satara, Sangli, Solapur, Kolhapur and Aurangabad. Light rain is also possible in parts of Mumbai and adjoining region.
Vidarbha region is expected to remain dry with a rise in day temperatures. Mornings will remain misty/hazy. Mainly clear sky is expected over the area.
