The month of July began on a dry note for the city of Hyderabad. The first day remained dry over the area; however, on and off traces of rainfall was witnessed.
In a span of 24 hours from 08:30 am on Friday, the Biryani city recorded 7.5 mm of rainfall. During the same time frame, many other districts of Telangana also recorded good rains such as Ranga Reddy, Warangal, Mahbubnagar, Medak and Khammam.

These weather conditions can be attributed a trough that is extending from Odisha to South Tamil Nadu across North Andhra Coast. A cyclonic circulation is also over Northwest Bay of Bengal.
As this system is not significant, the rain activity is likely to reduce further over most parts of Telangana and its capital city. Consequently, good rains will remain far away from Hyderabad for the next few days.

As per Skymet Weather, the weather will remain dry. Cloudy sky will persist over the area with increase in temperatures, leading to uneasy conditions. Thus, the Biryani city will continue to reel under humid weather; however there are possibilities of rain in a few pockets but of brief period and light intensity.
So far in the month of July, the city has recorded 33.7 mm against its monthly average of 179.2 mm.
