With an accurate prediction by Skymet Weather, rains did make an appearance over the National Capital of India. Even though the rainfall observed over Delhi was scattered in nature and only isolated areas did witness the activity, but the good news is more rainfall is expected over the city. This rainfall activity was coupled with moderate winds.
By tomorrow i.e., March 9 onward, rainfall is expected to spread its area over many more areas of Delhi. By March 10 and 11, the rainfall will intensify from light rains to moderate rains over the region.
Today’s activity was there due to the formation of medium to high convective clouds over the region. This same cloud formation is expected to give more rainfall for next 3 days.
The cloud formation over Delhi and neighboring areas are attributed to the fresh Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir. The system has induced a cyclonic circulation over North Rajasthan and adjoining areas.
This forthcoming spell of moderate rains is likely to provide pleasant conditions in the coming days. Maximum temperatures are likely to drop by 4-5°C and are likely to settle around 23°C by Friday. Meanwhile, mornings will be cool as minimum temperatures will be around 10°C.
