Rajasthan witnessed dusty and hot weather during the entire last week. In fact, the air quality worsened because of the prevalence of dust raising winds from Rajasthan and Pakistan region. Due to this, a blanket of dust haze had also covered the northwestern plains.

During the last 24 hours, scattered rains occurred over parts of North Rajasthan. However, rest all parts of the state remined dry and warm.
In the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Sunday, Sri Ganganagar recorded 19.4 mm of rain, followed by Bikaner 6.6 mm, Pilani 1 mm.
These rains have been attributed to cyclonic circulation which is over central parts of Pakistan and the trough running up to Southwest Uttar Pradesh across Rajasthan.
Now also we expect, light rain/thundershower or dust storm may occur at some parts over Bikaner, Churu, Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh and Sikar districts of North Rajasthan during next 8 hours.
Southern parts of Rajasthan will experience dry westerly winds whereas northern parts will witness comparatively humid weather due to the southeasterly winds.
However, day temperatures may also drop marginally over North Rajasthan and settle between 34-38 degrees. Whereas the other parts will witness maximum in the range of 40-42 degrees.
