In the last two days, parts of Bengaluru have been graced by light rainfall. On April 5 as well as on April 6, the isolated parts of the city received light rainfall. This rainy spell has provided much needed relief to the residents of Bengaluru as the summer heat did grip the city tight enough.

But it looks like weather gods are likely to be generous for one more day as Bengaluru is expected to witness light spell of rain today evening as well.

These weather conditions are due to a trough that is seen running from Vidarbha to South Tamil Nadu. This trough is feeble is nature and is seen running right over South Interior Karnataka including Bengaluru.

In the span of 24 hours from 08:30 am on Wednesday, Bengaluru received 3.6 mm of rainfall. Prior to this, the city received very light rainfall. Even today, we expect that the rainfall is likely to be in this range only.

Today morning, the city woke up to clear weather conditions, but as the day progressed the humidity and temperature also increased. By late evening hours, high humidity levels and temperatures are expected to reach to tumultuous levels paving way for light rainfall activity in Bengaluru.

But tomorrow morning onward, the weather is likely to go sour as the temperatures are likely to increase once again. The mercury is likely to increase by 2-3 degree Celsius in next 48 hours.
