Rains took a brief break on Tuesday but are now once again gearing to visit Bengaluru and other parts of Karnataka. The city had recorded 11.8 mm of rains on April 16, bringing in much needed relief from the warm weather conditions. Thereafter, rain took a back seat and dry weather has been prevailing since then.

As a result, maximum temperatures were settling in mid 30s. However, mornings and nights were pleasant as the temperatures settled in early 20s.

Now, the trough which is extending from the central parts of the country to Interior Tamil Nadu across Interior Karnataka is expected to oscillate eastwards in close proximity of Bengaluru. With this, pre-Monsoon rains are likely to occur over the garden city of Bengaluru during the next 24 to 48 hours.

Pre-Monsoon rains are likely to be light in nature and would occur for a short duration, mostly during early morning hours.

In wake of the rains, there would be high chances of waterlogging across the city. During that time, the temperatures are expected to fall marginally. Henceforth, the weather will continue to be warm during afternoons.
