Ending the prolonged dry spell, Bengaluru rains have finally returned to the city. At present, sky is over cast and we expect rains to make an appearance soon. According to Skymet Weather, the rains would be of light intensity only.
According to weathermen, a trough is extending from Comorin area to North Interior Karnataka across South Interior Karnataka. With this, humid winds are reaching the state capital, which might lead to short spells of rain during the next two days over the city. One or two pockets might also see some isolated intense spell.
With this, we can expect some pleasant weather conditions to prevail over the city. Bengaluru has been battling absolutely dry weather conditions since past one month. In absence of rains, both the maximum and minimum temperatures have been settling well above normal. We can now expect some relief from above average mercury.
As per weathermen, January does not record any rain during the month of January. In fact, the month records the least rainfall during this period, with average rainfall of mere 9.5 mm.
Rain in Bengaluru and adjoining areas are only a chance when a north -south trough is seen running till Karnataka, which often leads to formation of a confluence zone. Similar scenario is prevailing at present.
