Good rain and thundershower activities have been observed over a number of areas in Gujarat during the last few days. All thanks to the low pressure area which was over Gujarat and adjoining areas.

As of now, the weather over the state continues to be pleasant. Temperatures are also settling near or one or two notches below normal levels. During the last 24 hours, light to moderate rains have been witnessed over the region. Also one or two districts like Veraval andValsadrecorded 85 mm and 54 mm rains of heavy intensity, respectively.
Districts that recorded light to moderate rain activity include Dwarka 27 mm, Idar 25 mm,Porbandar13 mm, Amreli 10 mm,Rajkot10 mm, Okha 10 mm, Bhuj 8 mm, Kandla 7 mm, Ahmedabad 5 mm,Vadodara4 mm and Deesa 1 mm.

The rainfall activity has reduced significantly over the region as the weather system has weakened and shifting further southwestwards. Weathermen expect light to moderate rains to continue, particularly over southern and Coastal Gujarat. Thereafter, dry weather is likely to make a comeback.
Places like Dwarka, Idar, Porbandar and Rajkot will continue to witness light rains with isolated moderate spells. On the other hand, Deesa, Ahmedabad and Vadodara will receive light showers during the next 24 hours.
