After a long time, Pre Monsoon activity is coming up for Gujarat. These rains will occur due to a feeble Cyclonic Circulation which is off the coast of Konkan in the Arabian Sea. With this, the wind flow will change over the coast and become westerlies, which are usually rain-bearing.
Rainfall activity will be seen right from Valsad, Surat, and Bharuch along with Central parts including Vadodara. Extreme Coastal parts of Saurashtra including Veraval, Bhavnagar, and Mahuva will also see some rains. There is an outside chance of rains in Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad.
These rains will be seen on June 10, 11 and even June 12 but will be light in intensity only. This will be a welcoming change for the state which otherwise boils in the Pre-Monsoon season. Temperatures will see some drop, winds will become southwesterly, and moisture-laden seeing some relief over the entire state. A similar pattern will be there for a few days and may extend to some more time.
