It took only two weeks of continuous Monsoon rain in Bengaluru in the month of August to wipe out two months of uneasiness over weak Monsoon conditions after both June and July ended up being mainly dry.
Now, the Southwest Monsoon has continued to remain subdued over many parts of Karnataka. Although, scattered light rains have been occurring over the state as well as Bengaluru.
Moreover, the weather changes have remained the same since last many days. Hence, in a span of last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Monday, the city merely recorded a few traces of Monsoon rains.
These weather conditions can be attributed to a monsoon trough which is seen extending from Gujarat Coast up to Kerala. Due to this, scattered light Monsoon rain and thundershowers are expected to continue over Karnataka including Bengaluru.
