September 6, 2017 12:47 PM | Skymet Weather Team

The dry weather has been prevailing in Delhi from the last 3 days. Though September began on a rainy note, the intensity of rains was on a lesser side. Due to the reduction in the rainfall activity in Delhi and NCR, the maximums also scaled up to settle at the 35-degree mark.

In the last 24 hours also, the Palam Observatory failed to record any rainy spells. Though very light rainy traces were observed by the Safdarjung Observatory. These rains as reiterated by Skymet Weather were patchy and isolated in nature, covering a very shorter area.

As per Skymet Weather, the weather scenario is now favorable for showing up some rains once again in parts of Delhi along with adjoining Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, and Faridabad today.

Additionally, the western arm of the axis of Monsoon trough that is running close to the foothills persists with a slight oscillation towards the south.

Thus, all these weather systems may convince rainfall activities to once again show up in Delhi and NCR today until tomorrow during the late evening hours. However, again these rains will be of a shorter duration and may not cover a larger area. The intensity of these showers is also expected to remain light and patchy in nature.

Thereafter, the weather will become dry again for the few days. However, due to the prevalence of the dry northwesterly winds will keep the humidity levels low which will ensure pleasant and cool morning and night.
