Delhi rains may make an appearance by Thursday afternoon or evening hours. According to Skymet Weather, small patches of thunderclouds can be seen travelling towards Delhi-NCR. In wake of this, sky has already become cloudy across most parts of the city including adjoining areas of Gurugram, Noida and Faridabad.

Rains are likely to follow soon, beginning from southern parts of the city and travelling other parts later.

As per weathermen, there is no significant weather system prevailing over the national capital. But, availability of humidity in the atmosphere and rise in temperatures have led to development of some thunderclouds over the region.

However, chances of any widespread rainfall are ruled out and one could only witness short spell of light rains in patches. One or two intense spells over an area also cannot be ruled out, although probability is quite less. With this, we can expect a chilly evening and night ahead.

This January, Delhi rains have already broken record of reporting highest rainfall in the month in last 10 years. So far, the city has recorded 48 mm of rains and this spell might add few millimeters.

Going further, probability of rains would now start decreasing but we can see an isolated spell on Friday morning. In fact, we are not expecting any spell, but any local development might happen till January 26. Thereafter, the weather would go completely dry.
