September has proved to be influential for Bengaluru. Though after a luxurious rainy spell on September 8 and 9, the rains halted from appearing in the alleged 'Silicon Valley' of the nation.
However, it was due to these hefty showers, that the city could outperform its monthly mean within the early second week of the month. Although, from that point forward, the city has been affected by dry climate conditions.
In the span of the last 24 hours also, the capital of Karnataka was not able to record many good showers and had to manage with light 2.4 mm of rainy traces only. Because of the absence of rains, the mercury levels also shot up to settle above the 31-degree mark.

As per Skymet Weather, strong southwesterly winds are at present blowing from the Arabian Sea. These winds are likely to continue over South Interior Karnataka. Moreover, a cyclonic circulation also persists over the coastal areas of Karnataka which will be responsible for feeding in moisture from the Arabian Sea.
Due to this two-weather phenomenon, light to moderate rains are expected to continue over Bengaluru until September 17. Thereafter, the rain intensity will reduce slightly but light rains at a few places in the city will continue.

Bengaluru’s monthly average stands at 212.8 mm of rains and as on date, the city has already recorded 346.5 mm of rains. Moreover, with almost half month remaining, it is a wait and watch situation if Bengaluru will successfully have the ability to break the decade old record for the most noteworthy monthly rainfall.
